MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A further meeting of the citizens’ committee in connection with the Napier Industries Week was held in the Boicugh Council Chamber today at 10.30 a.m.) Present: The Mavor (Mr. J. The arrangements of the Advertising Committee were reported by] Mi-. C. F. Smith. The following projected sporting' events were intimated by the Sports; Committee: —Aug. 14. hockey tournament and Rugby football match. I Hastings and Napier v. Rest of i Hawke's Bay; Aug. 16ih. inanimate, pigeon-shooting; Aug. 20th, Wei-; lingt'r.n v. Napier representative, l football match ; Aug. 21 st. Northern; League match; Aug. 22nd. 2-lth and’ 26i!i, School Rugby match. It was agreed to have a tug-of-war-tournament during the week, the ; committee to make the necessary arrangements.
