The Union Co.’s Tarawera left at 8.30 last night for Gisborne and Auckland. The Ruru returned from Coast Stations last night and leaves again to-night for Tokomaru Bay and Tologa Bay. The Fanny leaves this afternoon for Gisborne. The Opawa arrived last night from Auckland for Homeward loading. The Tyser Co.’s liner the Maori is due to arrive in Napier about the first week in January. She carried 800 tons of cargo for this port. The Delphic arrived this morning from Port Chalmers for Homeward loading. Messrs. Dalgety and Co. are her local agents. The Huddart Parker and Co.’s Wimmera is due to-morrow morning early from Northern ports and Sydney and leaves at 2 p.m. for Wellington and South. The Clan Maclaren is due to-mor-row morning from Newcastle via Auckland with about 100 U tons of coal.
The L'nion Co.'s Haupiri is due to-morrow morning from Picton, and sails same afternoon for Gisborne and East Coast Bays. The Union Co.’s Monowai has been delayed down south and will not arrive here until Saturday morning. She is announced to sail at io a.m. for Northern ports. The Star of Canada, which has been loading frozen meat at Napier. has left for Wellington. She will return later for further Home loading. She is reported to have done some smart work during her stav here. Starting on Monday morning she discharged 350 tons of cargo and then loaded 2700 bales of wool ami 9000 carcases of mutton, completing the work by 8 o'clock last night. Considering the fact that the vessel was lightered in the bay this is looked upon as a very creditable performance.
