A POINT OF LAW.

(Received 14. 10.20 a,m.) Sydney, Dec. 14. The High Court affirmed by a majority. that the Statute of Queen Anne, invalidating notes, bills, and mortgages given as consideration for gambling is non-existent in this State.' Two decisions in Full Court hitherto have been contradictory, the latter being to the effect that the Statute had not been repealed. This is appealed against.
