FRENCH ARMAMENTS.
IMMENSE MILITARY EXPENSE. Beceived January 18, 9.15 a.m. Pakis, January 16. France has increased her garrisons in Corsica and Tunis. Le Temps claims thai: the Gusfcave Zede is the deadliest torpedo boat of its class for use in daylight, but says its powers are limited to small range and coast defences only. M. Pelletau, in discussing the Budget, complained that the expenditure waa monstrous. HS pointed out that France paid a fifth of the entire military expenses of Europe.
