BOWLING.

Yesterday being a general holiday, the bawling green was prepared tor play in the forenoon and several pairs matches were got off. The green played wonderfully well considering the lateness of the season, aod proved the wisdom of the course adopted last year in closing the ground ranch earlier than naaal, the sward at present being in excellent condition. Sides were chosen in tho forenoon by Messrs Hodgson and Dinwiddle, which resnlted in a win for the formar by eight points. The following .were the scores add players : — Dinwiddie. Hodgson.
