BANKRUPTCY.
Sir,—As the paragraph in this morning's Herald re my bankruptcy is misleading and nntrue, I wish yon in the interest of myself and family to correct tbe mistake. I did not say at a meeting of my creditors that I had sold my furniture to my sister in Auckland, but that I had sold articles to the value of £3, which has a very different tone, and is the truth. I should also be glad if you would mention this, that the same creditor who said that my furniture was worth £150, valued my piano, which cost £35, at from £60 to £70. You see how easily one is apt to make a mistake without thinking, and " hat damage It may do another.—l am, &c, C. BARNETT. Napier-terrace, Napier, April 26,1893.
