Waverley Personal Notes
Miss Gardiner, who has been a guest at xhe Waverley vicarage returned to Hawke’s Bay this week. Mrs Barrow is spending a few days at Takapau with her sister, Mrs Lnley. Mrs Orawley and Miss Merchant, of Kaitoke, spent a few days this week as the guests of Mrs Cleary. Mrs Fleming, of Wellington, was a visitor to Waverley last week and was the guest of her cousin, Miss Kennedy. , Miss Eleanor Matthews, who has been visiting friends in Waverley, has returned to Gisborne. . Mrs Barrow wore a dainty frock ot periwinkle blue patterned ninon when she was hostess at a most enjoyable bridge party on Monday atteinoon. The decorations in her drawingroom were bowls of pink camellias and freesias and were very much admired Her guests were Mesdames Strauchon, Wilson, Tennent, Wallace, .Spratt, Sheppherd, Boyer, Dickie, Parsons, Mathieson, Graham, Alexander, Brewer, Walkinton, Hodgson and Miss Cleary. At the conclusion of play Mrs Wilson won 'the prize for top score and Mrs Strauchon one tor hidden number.
