A gift of £SOOO by Lord Nuffield has enabled the National Institute for the Blind and -St. T>unstan’s to begin thecompilation of a library of “talking books,” which "will be recorded for mechanical reproduction. Special machines for the use of the blind arg being manufactured. -Some 25 titles have been already selected, ranging from the Gospel of St. John to modern thrillers.
