BRIDGE AND EUCHRE PARTY

In order to raise funds for the Manaia Plunket Society, the Otalceho ladies held a very successful bridge and euchre party in the Otakelio Hall on Monday night. Prizes for the bridge were won by Mrs Garner and Mr M. A. Ryan and the euchre prizes were won by Miss Betty MeCullum (first), Miss N. Julian (second) and Miss M. Julian (third) and Mr B. Horgan (first), Mr King (second) and Mr ’N. Blackstock (third). A cake competition was won by Mr A. Andrews, with Mr Allan second and Mrs M. Trott third. The ladies in charge, of the supper arrangements were Mcsdames 11. Corkill, E. T. Burke, W. ,T. McDonald and le Fleming-

At the conclusion Mrs Corkill, president. of the society, thanked all those who had helped in any way and especially Mr Surgenor, who had given very valuable assistance.
