Russia’s total trade for 1934 was 651,000,000 gold roubles, of which exports were 418,000,000, giving a favourable trade balance of 155,000,000 compared with 146,000,000 in 1933. Britain last year supplied 20 per cent, of Eussia’s imports, compared with 9 per cent, in 1933, while German-Amer-iean imports were dropping, although Germany still holds first place in the Russian trade with Britain 1 second. Eussia’s exports to Britain were valued at 69,000,000 gold roubles, showing a balance of 23,000,000 in favour of Eussia. Eussia exported more textiles to Britain than it imported from Britain.
