EGMONT DOG TRIALS

THREE EVENTS DECIDED. RESULTS IN LONG HEAD. The event decided this morning at the Egmont dog trials at Taiporohenui was the long head (heading and bringing into ring). Tlie winner was the entry of Mr W. V. Mclntyre (Waitui), which defeated the entry of Mr F. McLennan (Alton) by Mi points. A strong section faced the judge, Mr 8. Voyce (Pio Pio). There was a large attendance of the public, including many townspeople from Hawera. Keen interest was taken in the short head and yard, which was commenced to-day. It is expected that this event will be finalised to-morrow. Results of the events so far finalised are as follow: —
