The British Cabinet is alarmed at the possibility of an offensive in Abyssinia when the rainy season is ended. Sir John Simon has instructed Sir Eric Drummond (British Ambassador at Rome) to see. Signor Mussolini without delay. Sir Erie Drummond has twice attempted .to visit Signor Mussolini thus far, but succeeded only in reaching Signor Suy itch. The Rome correspondent of the Times says a further hitch has occurred in the demarcation of the neutral zone in Abyssinia; consequently Italy is not interrupting her preparations, especially as 90,000 armed Abyssinians have. acquired modern ' arms and aeroplanes.
