DAMAGES FOR CAR ACCIDENT
PEDESTRIAN’S SUCCESSFUL CLAIM. (By Telegrapn—Tru«a Association.j GISBORNE, To-day. Judgment- for £SBB was given by Mr Justice Smith at the Supreme Court to-dav in a case where Henry Robert Croker sued Mrs Leone Gertrude Taylor, as the owner of a ear driven by Edward Francis Riley, for damages m respect of injuries received by the plaintiff through being knocked down by defendant’s car. The accident occurred after a dance on May 24 last, the judge holding that the driver of the car had been negligent in swerving to the left when passing the plaintiff.
