MISS MONA LEYDON’S VISIT

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Feb. 21. The proposal of the Ponsonby Amateur Swimming Club that Miss Mo&a Leydon go to Sydney to compete at the meeting of the New South Wales Ladies’ Swimming Association has been accepted. That body has cabled that it will be pleased to have Miss Leydon as a competitor at its final carnival of the season, which opens on March 16 and ends on March 21. Her special mission will be the halfmile championship. Shorter distance races have already been held by Miss Leydon who, besides holding Dominion records for the half and quartei-milc, is also the furlong freestyle and 100 yards backstroke champion of New Zealand.
