DELEGATION TO GERMANY
Question of Financial and Commercial Relations DEBTS DUE TO BRITAIN LANCASHIRE’S ATTITUDE (British Official Wireless.) Received 2.45 p.m. to-day. RUGBY, Sept-. 15. The United Kingdom delegation to initiate the discussion® of commercial and financial relations between the United Kingdom and Germany as affected by the new German machinery for the control of imports and the allocation of foreign exchanges will leave London for Berlin on Monday. The delegation consists of Sir Leith Ross, chief economic adviser to the British Government and Mr St. Queiir tin Hill, of the Board of Trade, will be joined by the present financial adviser to the British Ambassador at Berlin. A deputation may shortly proceed to London to renew the discussions with the Government on the difficulties experienced by the cotton, wool arid coal trades. The attitude of the Lancashire cotton spinners in refusing the latest German proposals for a settlement of Germany’s debt has received the approval of the coal and ‘shipping trades.
