Thieves early this morning broke into Yates Cash Stores through a skylight, stealing practically all the tobacco stock. They also entered W. Boyer’s billiard saloon by a rear window, but nothing is missing. From a petrol pump outside Wells’ Garage twenty-five gallons were stolen after removing the lock. It is understood t(hat a riightwritchman became suspicious and advised the police, and at Takapau the constable there stopped a southward car, and two men ran away.
