CALCUTTA. April 30. • About 50 or 60 Coolies were buried when a Ha.nu.man jute press at Howrah collapsed. Police and others are working: feverishly to remove the debris, but it will be days before the real death roll is known.
There was a, .fire in the building: a few days ago and the Coolies were engaged in salvaging the damaged jute bales when the building collapsed during strong winds without the slightest warning. So far ten bodies have been recovered.
