RETURN TO' PURCHASERS

(By Telegraph —Press Association.) AA’ELLINGTON, April 30. Arising out of a case heard in March in which two radio* salesmen were convicted of the theft of 25 radio sets, application wa s made in the Alagistrate’s Court to-day by the police for a decision as to whom tour of the sets concerned in the case and now held bv them should be delivered. Hamilton. Nimmo and Sons, Ltd., who had employed the salesmen, submitted that the sets should be returned to them and this- was opposed by four other parties who had bought the sets from the salesmen. _ _ The magistrate, Mr E. Page, directed that the sets should be returned to the foui- people from whom the police had obtained them. The four purehusers were E. J. AVebb, AT. H. Hood, Airs E Stockman and Airs House. The magistrate, after hearing the evidence, said the facts were somewhat unusual, and it appeared that the method bv which the salesmen obtained tire goods was not that authorised. However, lie had to decide whether I”imines or the other four parties were entitled to possession. The sets had been in the possession of these four when taken by the police under what had appeared to them to be a binding sale Now Nimmos said the salesmen had no authority. It seemed to him •as matters stood that the sets should be returned to these four people. If Nimmos had the right to possession they could assert it in other proceedings,
