HIGHER. RATES OF FAY SEQUEL TO APPEAL VERDICT (By Telegraph—tress Association.) GHR,I STGHiURiCH, April 30. About 20 summonses have been issued against the Christchurch Tramway Hoard by employees who were reduced ni status by the board and whose appeals were upheld by the Tramway Appeal Board. During the period of their reduction the men were paid according to the positions they held, and they claim that, as their appeals were upheld they should have been paid according to the higher positions. They are now claiming for the difference between the two rates in every case, the amounts varying from about £2 to £6.
