THEFT AT DUNEDIN. TWO YOUNG MEN CHARGED (By Telegraph—Presa Association.J DUNEDIN, April 30. "While Mr Justice Kennedy was in Wellington attending the Appeal Court his home was entered by three youths, who consumed the liquor and stole cigarettes, liquor and clothing of a total value of £l2 12s. One of the youths already 'has been dealt with in the Children’s Court. The others James Alexander Knox, aged 18, and Reginald Thomas Munro, aged 21, were jointly charged this morning with breaking, entering and theft. Mnnro was further charged with breaking and entering the judge’s house ort two other occasions and stealing goods valued at £l6 10s. Counsel suggested that the charge should be reduced to simple theft, •minting out that the major charge would involve the expense of bringing the judge from Christchurch or rending accused there. 'Hie magistrate remanded accused m custody to enable the prosecution to consider the. matter.
