WEDDING SURPRISE

BRIDESMAIDS- WITHOUT HATS A wedding at St. Mary’s Parish Church, Acton, England, was interrupted for 'Some minutes recently because the two bridesmaids were without head-dress. The verger obtained two pieces of white material from the vestry and handed them to the bridesmaids to use as head coverings. He informed them that it was the rule at- that church that- the heads of females should be covered. The service then proceeded. Afterwards the Rector, the Rev. Pereiv.nl Gough, said: “I come properly dressed for the service, and a» -it is the custom at- the church that the heads of women should be covered, I fliiid-: the bridesmaids should observe it.”

A year ago, the authorities at St. Paul’s Cathedral announced that women could enter the cathedral without hats.
