The steamer Maui Pomare took a full shipment of 6570 cases of bananas after rejecting 1000 cases as unfit, states the Press Association’s correspondent at Apia. Mr. A. MoFnrlanc, Christchui-fli, representing the successful tenderer for the 1933 output of Samoan bananas, visited Apia and inspected the packing and handling of the bananas prior to shipment.
