GIRLS’ CLUB AND' BIBLE CLASS.

At iSt. Mary’s Hall, _ Hawera, last night members of the Girls’ Club and Bible Class arranged an evening in aid of their funds and a capital programme was presented to a good audience, which gave performers an enthusiastic reception. The items were as follow: [Pianoforte duct, <<! King of the Forest" Misses Gwen Chadwick and Joan McEwen; dumbells, club- girls; song, "When iSong is iSweet,’’ encore "Can’t Remember,’’ Miss Mary 'Sunderland; drill, club girls; Gipsy ballet, pupils Miss Margaret iStock; song, "Lass With a Delicate Air," encore "When Daisies Died, ’’ Mr Gerard Hawthorne; recitation, "The Vicar’s Recital," Miss Averil Appleyard; song, "[Love’s ’Old Sweet Song," Miss Noeline Death; tap dance,.pupils Miss Margaret Stock, Miss Joan Anderson soloist; playette, girls’ club. The concert was followed by supper and a dance, music being supplied by Mr C. Davis.
