SLIGHT DAMAGE ONLY. EARTHOUAKE EXPERIENCE. (Bv Telegraph —Press Association.) AUCKLAND, March 4. Examination has revealed that very little damage was caused to HALS. Veronica when she was -berthed at Port Ahuriri during the Napier earthquake. After the first severe shock the floor ■of the harbour rose and she was aground hard and fast. The sloop was aground on other occasions while she was alongside the wharf and at one time it was feared the hull might have been severely strained. However, examination has proved that the damage is very slight. During the last three weeks minor repair work has been carried out.
