At a meeting of the Wellington Carillon Society it was reported that the construction of the tower would be sufficiently advanced by October to permit the commencement of the erection of the bells. For this work experts will be sent out by the founders of the bells. Alessrs Gillett and Johnson, of It is hoped that the installation will be sufficiently advanced to allow of the opening on Armistice Day. . Mr. Clifford Ball, of Bournmouth, is coming out to open the carillon, in connection with which an official ceremony will be performed by* His Excellency the Governor-General.
