THROUGH WINDSHIELD
CHILD FATALLY INJURED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) ROTORUA, Jan. 19. A fatal motor accident occurred yesterday on the Rotorua -Taupe Road at the. approach co a bridge crossing tlie Waikato. Raugi Te Too was driving from Reparoa to Ohalti and when approaching tlie bridge, which is at an acute angle, the steering gear jammed and the car hit a steep hank on the right-hand side. Relii Reweti, aged six, sitting on her mother’s knee, was thrown through the windshield and when she was extricated her throat was found cut. death following immediately. None of the others were injured.
