EVANS WINS PRESIDENT’S TROPHY. The Hawera Defence Rifle Club fired for the president’s trophy .on Saturday under somewhat difficult conditions, Rifleman R. Evans winning with a score of 131 J. Ten shots were fired over 400, 500 and 600 yai-ds.
Next week the first round of the Bennett and Sutton Cup will he fired, with 10 shots at 400 and 500 yards.
