West Christchurch made 202 (Alexander 96. Allen 45) and Lancaster Park lost four wickets for 66 (Read 38). These teams are at the head of the contest. St. Albans made 231 (Page 102) and Old Collegians lost six for 54. East Christchurch made 94 (Powell took live wickets for 34 and Roberts three for 3), and Riccarton 279 for three wickets (Roberts 126 not out, Jacobs 64, Haines 47 not out). Sydenham made 176 (Wallburton 60) and Old Boys lost three for 105 (Grose 42 not out). For Old Boys, Merritt took six wickets for 87.

DUNEDIN. DUNEDIN, Jan. 18. Cricket matches were played in good weather yesterday. In reply to Cari.sbrook’s 146, Dunedin made 268 for eight, declared (Cherry 87, Coupland 77 not out). Carisbrook in the (Second innings lost one for 126 (D. Cameron 58 not out, Blunt. 38). Dunedin secured a twopoint win. Playing Old Boys, who scored 257, Christian Brothers made 191. (V. McCarten 37. F. Toomey 34). For Old Boys, Moloney took four for 54. Old Boys, who secured a two-point win, lost four for 88 in the second innings. Albion got a sensational three-point win over Grange, who made 156 on the first day. When play was resumed Albion had lost three for 102, but the whole side was dismissed for 148 (Caskie 55). Dimes took six wickets tor 38 and Lemin three for 44. Grange was dismissed in the second innings (or 37 (extras 11). Silver took four for 11). Shepherd three for 13, and McChaffie three for 3. Albion had no difficulty in scoring the required runs for the loss of two wickets.
