PERMATURE EXPLOSION
QUARRY WORKERS INJURED. (By Telegraph—Prer-a Association.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 9. Two employees were injured in a Paekakariki quarry this morning owing to a charge exploding prematurely. William Mather, single, was peppered with stones all over the face and arms. His hands were lacerated with wounds and 'both eyes were injured. He was sent to the Wellington Hospital and his condition is satisfactory.
James Tarpey was injured in one arm.
