BLAZE IN MUSIC STORE

OUTBREAK AT HASTINGS. ! (By Telegraph—Press Association.} HASTINGS, Jan. 9. Fire broke out in a shop occupied by Buckley Bros., musical instrument dealers in Heretnnnga Street shortly after midnight. The stock was winch damaged, but the brigade made a splendid save and extinguished the flames before they had spread to adjoining premises. The premises of Armstrong (jeweller) and Mrs. Jones (ladies’ outfitter) suffered and stock was damaged from smoke and water. Buckley’s stock was insured for £6OO, but particulars of the insurance on the building, which was not extensively damaged, are not available. The need iw projection against fire loss is obvious. Consult tlie Mercantile and General Insurance Company. Ltd. Local Agent: E. Hardley, Victoria St., Hawera. ’Rhone 2474. A<ivt.
