NAPIER, Jan. 3 A despicable attempt to destroy St. Patrick’s Church was perpetrated m the early hours of this morning. An outbreak of fire was started under a side door where liquid had been placed. A hole was burnt in tfie floor and the sides of the porch were scorched, ihe total damage amounting to about £25.
