The death is reported by the Press Association from Dunedin of Air. Alexander Fraser, aged 70, one of the Gabriel's Gullv gold rush pioneers. All- S. 10. Fay, repairing and eqnipnietn assistant of the New Zealand Railways Department, lias resigned in order to accept a position in England, states a Press Association telegram from "Wellington. Air W. J. Holds worth, chairman of the Auckland Power Board, lias been chosen as the official Reform candidate for the Roskill seat, states a Press Association telegram from Auckland.
A motion of sympathy with Air. H. 1. Crocker in his present indisposition, with hopes for his speedy recovery to health, was adopted by his fellow members of the South Taranaki executive of the Farmers’ Union at the monthly meeting to-day.
