MR F. VINCENT’S FUNERAL. One of the largest and most representative funerals seen in Eltham for many years was that of the late Mr Fred Vincent, who died on Thursday after a brief illness. Both South and North Taranaki were strongly represented, as well as Wanganui and Palmerston North. A service was conducted at. the house and afterwards at ilie graveside by Rev. It. Coatsworth. No Jess than <>7 cars, all filled with friends and relations, followed to flic cemetery. It was a striking tribute to the worth of Air Vincent and of the respect in which lie was held up and. down the coast. The pall-bearers were Messrs J. Judd and T. C. Stanners (Eltham Bowling Club), A. Ware and A. Beesley (representing the commercial interests of the town), and Alessrs F. Aluggeridge and B. C. Bennett. (Hawera Acclimatisation Society), while the chief mourners were his four brothers and two sons.
To his widow, who was before her marriage -Miss Elsie Whiting, of Eltham, and his sons, Rex and Colin, will go out deep sympathy from a wide circle of friends all over Taranaki.
