MANUTAHI.

TENNIS CLUB OPENING. (From Our Own . Correspondent). The opening day of the Manutahi Tennis Club was held on Saturday week and, although the weather was very doubtful, quite a number of players were present and much enthusiasm was shown in the new club. Afternoon tea was served by the lady members and was very much appreciated bv all.

On Tuesday last a euchre party and dance was held in the hall, the proceeds being in aid of the tennis club, and despite the busy times most of the residents were present, the club therefore benefiting by .some pounds. Thanks are due to Miss O’Sullivan, who kindly supplied the dance music. Miss Webber and Mr. Skinner obliged with extras. A dainty supper was provided bv the ladies and everyone voted it a very pleasant evening.
