OPERA HOUSE “TALKIES,

SPECIAL HOLIDAY ATTRACTION

Superlative entertainment- is offered by “The Goklie.ni Calf,” Fox -Movietone comedy with music, which opens at the Opera. House, Ham-era, to. night for a. season of two nights only. Tuneful melodies, 100 beautiful diancers, a romantic, story with plenty of comedy and. ant ali'-star east- of principals guarantees this latest, product of the Fox Studios as entertainment, that- will appeal to all classes. The story is laid in Greenwich Village. Jack Mu Ilia'll is an advertising artist in .search: of a model with perfect, legs to pose for a hosiery advertisement, which is to bring him fame and fortune. Sue Carol, seen' at. first as his prim, oldmaidish -secretary, discovers she had the perfect measurements but has to transform herself into a beautiful, dashing model with loads cif “it” before she can convince Mulhall of her good qualities. He is completely deceived by the metamorphosis in Iris erstwhile prim stenographer and does not discover she is the beautiful model until just before the final fa'deout. Millard Webb directed this production, the cast of which includes El R rondel, Marjorie White, Richard Keene and Paul Pago.

ELTHAM THEATRE. “TANNED LEGS.” A new slant on the younger generation that, will cause many a parent to both ponder and smile, is presented amid dazzling beauty in Radio Pictures’ “Tanned Legs,” showing at the Eltham Theatre to-night. Songs, dances and bathing beauties, with a background of vivid youth, are the elements out of which this comedy is built. The story is well acted and the music and dialogue delightfullj 7 clear.
