CLOSE FINISH IN SENIOR RACE

RUGBY, Sept. 11

E. E. Merrill, of Southport, Lancashire, riding a Endge machine, won the 136-mile race for the 510101' Cycling Club’s senior grand prix to-day by only 19 seconds. His average speed was 69.49 miles per hour. G. W. Wood, also on a Ru(lge, was second. There wore 47 starters.
