HONORARY RANGER’S ACTION
SOCIETY TAKES OBJECTION

WELLINGTON, Sept. 12. A curious action on the part of the honorary ranger of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society was reported to the executive.
A member said bo had had word that a party was about to make a "spotlight” raid on nares on one of the main roads, a procedure they had followed on other occasions. He telephoned to the society’s permanent ranger, but an honoray ranger let the party know that the ranger had been informed of the proposed raid. Other members thought it time that the warrants of honorary rangers were revised.
The secretary said there were about 130 on the list and that only about five were good men. It wai§ agreed to take steps to revise the list.
