PARLIAMENTARY FAREWELLS

(By Telegraph—Special to "The Star.") WELLINGTON, Aug. 26.

The Hon. G. IV. Forbes. Prime Minister, with Airs Forbes and the New Zealand delegates to the Imperial Conference had a happy send-off on Thorndon station last night, when the Limited Express was caught for Auckland, there to connect with the mail rsteamer Aorangi for Canada and thence to England. It will be a rapid journey, and the party only arrives at London two days before the conference opens.

The gathering on the platform included Lieut. Forbes, departed for Auckland by tonight’s Limited express on the fiust stage of his journey to the Imperial Confgcrence in London. The GovernorGeneral was represented at the Thonidion station by Lieut. Ehvorthy, and the Mayor. Air G. A. Troup, represented the citizens of Wellington. Air and Alts Forbes are being accoannanied! to Auckland by their daughters. Other members of the delegation who are going north to-night are Alessrs I‘. D Thomson. C. A. Jeffrey, C. A. Berendsen and Dr. G. Craig.. Sir Thman Sidev is already in Auckland.
