The biggest arsenal of gangsters' weapons ever seen in New fork was discovered when detectives trailed and detained a fashionable sedan car driven by the wife of a certain notorious criminal. There were bombs enough to destroy the whole: of Broadway, and what looked like harmless fountain pens were actually pistols discharging twenty-two calibre bullets. Hand grenades, steel vests,, machine-guns and other war material were found. Three men were arrested, but the car owner himself sailed for Ireland recently. He had been arrested 23 times, including five for murder. His total time served in prison was but one month.
