ELDERLY COUPLE INJURED

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 6. Mr George Knight, aged 82, who when he retired last year was “father” of the Auckland City Council, and his wife were both knocked down by a motor van last night when crossing a road. Both were sent to hospital and their condition is serio-u-s.
