After twenty-four hours rain there was little prospect of any play to-day in the third Test match. Gilligan and Lowry agreed 1 not to go out to Eden Park before lunch, and it was later deeded there would he no play to-day. ROAYNTREE’S REFUSAL. AYOULD NOT PLAY M.C.C. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Feb. 13. A special meeting of the Auckland Cricket Association was held to-night to discuss the action of R. AV. Rowntree in not playing for Auckland against the English team. After discussion it was decided to accept Rowntree’is explanation, which was withheld from publication.
