Awarua when the vessel was berthed at Half Moon Bay, Stewart Island, to-day, The lamp and about three feet of the mast were carried away. The boat Was enveloped in a smother of sparks and there was a terrific explosion. The foremast was carried overboard, a steel wire burned through and other minor damage done. No one sustained injuries but, tiie passengers received a. considerable shock. The damage amounted to about £25.
