SUBSIDIES ALLOCATED. (By Telegraph—Special to The Star.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 29. At the Dairy Control Board’s meeting the secretary reported that the Government arrangements ' in connection with this season’s distribution of the liefd-testing subsidy had been finalised prior to the receipt of the board’s recommendations. Therefore the subsidy would be paid, as last season, direct to the farmers who are members either-of group or association herd-besting The board decided to strongly urge the Government .to centralise this scheme' in future seasons in Dominion group herd-testing associations. ” Proposals for improved handling of dairy produce at Liverpool were considered, and 'before completing arrangements with the cool stores there the board will secure a report from the London manager.
