A series of -burglaries -along the east coast had its sequel at the Port Awanui Police Court to-day, when- several Maoris appeared before justices and admitted the offences. _ , George Taiapu pleaded guilty to breaking, entering and. the -theft of saddles from a saddler's shop ait Tikitiki otn July 30. George Taiapu, Haema.reo Te> Maro amd Charles Ward, were charged with breaking amd entering the Waiomartini store on- July 22 nmd s-tcalling goods valued nit £2l. George Taiapu was also charged' with entering the Tikitiki ’ store on July 13, and stealing goods valued at £22, and with entering -the istore ait Waiomatatini and stealing -goods to the value of £2. All the a,coused pleaded: guilty and were -committed to the S-upreme Court for sentence.
