Wairarapa absolutely reversed form, outplaying Southland, back and forward. The local forwards were not in condition to see out the hard-fouglit game. Wairarapa scored twenty points in the second spell, and only a sensational last minute effort gave Southland a one point victorv. Diack .was sent away inside the Wairarapa. twenty-five, and after a most determined run, in which he passed several visitors-, he scored near the corner and kicked a brilliant goal.
