STRATFORD T.H.S. v. HAWERA T.H.S. A DRAWN GAME.

A drawn game, both sides scoring eight points, was the result of _ the curtain-raiser to the Taranaki-Waikato representative match at Stratford today" between teams representing the Hawern. Technical High School and Stratford Technical High School. The half-time score was Stratford eight points and Hawera nil. Stratford had much the better of the game in the first half, hut in the second spell Hawera. with the advantage of the wind, _ drew level in the closing stages. Tries were scored for Stratford by Ross and Carryer, Ross converting his own try. Sturrock and Lee each scored a. try for Hawera, and Petersen converted Sturrock’s try. Mr. E. McEwen refereed.
