At the., quarterly meeting, of the Board of Health, the Deputy-Director-General, Dr. Whtfc; dealing with medical research in the Dominion,- tsaid t-hat during the present year the Department proposed to continue its investigations into goitre ,and rheumatoid ; arthritis, and to commence an inquiry into the cause of still-births and first month mortality of infants in New'Zealand.
