ALTON SCHOOL AFFAIRS.
COMMITTEE ELECTED. At the annual householders meeting last evening, held in the Alton school, a large and representative gathering of those interested in the affairs of. the school took place. The following householders were elected to the school committee for the ensuing year: Messrs J. D. Piercey (chairman, reelected), A. Illingworth (secretary, reelected), A. J. Gibbs, A. J. Leigh, and .1. Bourke
