KING OF AFGHANISTAN.
PROGRAMME, FOR, ENGLISH VISIT. (British Official Wireless). RUGBY, March 10. After the Royal procession to Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, King Amanullah and his queen will later in the day visit the Cenotaph and the Grave of the Unknown Warrior in Westminister Abbey, returning via St. Jame’s Palace, where civic addresses of welcome will be presented to them. At night there will be a State banquet in their honour at Buckingham Palace.
Oil Wednesday morning King Amanullah will recive the Ambassadors and Minister accredited to, the Court oi St. James at Buckingham Palace. On Wednesday the City of will entertain the King and Queen to luncheon at Guildhall and in the evening there will be a dinner at the Foreign Office. .Queen Mary will be present at a performance of the “Desert Song,” at Drury Lane theatre.
Some of the most interesting experiences awaiting King Amanullah will be provided by tHe Navy. When he motors from London to Portsmouth on March 19 he will embark on submarine L 22, which will convey him to Southampton. En route the submarine will dive and
do' torpedo practice, King Amanullah himself firing torpedoes. Later, when he visits the Atlantic Fleet at Portsmouth on April 3 he will see the impressive spectacle of target practice with the great guns as well as a realistic naval attack.
