BOXING.

* HEF.NEY-DEr.ANEY FIGHT. BY CABLE—PEERS ASSOCIATION-COPYB.IGIIT NEW YORK, Feb, 21. Heeney and Delaney are rounding into shape for the contest on March I. Tiie New Zealander sparred rounds to-day with two partners and skipped, punched the bag and shadow boxed several rounds in the local gymnasium. His trainer declared his condition was very satisfactory. Delaney is training in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and will come to New York on the day of the fight. He had fourteen rounds of -mixed, exercise today, including six rounds of sparring, with two partners. He weighs 185 pounds. Heeney is considered the favourite, particularly owing to his heavy hitting power, and Delaney’s hackers are inclined to believe he is unable to stand up to the New Zealander’s heavy battery.
